Chronomat 42 colour choice.

Could I ask the owners of the new Chronomat 42 what dial colour those chose and why. I have seen the blue dial up close but none of the others.

I’m going to pick up the silver one today. was considering the two tone gold and anthracite as well as copper and Bentley green. So many good options, but the silver looks great with the monochromatic blend into the bezel and bracelet. Also goes with literally anything. Classic panda

I got the silver dial. I was between silver and black as I wanted the panda/reverse panda look. I did briefly consider the blue dial, but I am not a fan of the black subdials on blue dial watches. If they were white, I would have gone for it.

The silver dial does give a monochromatic look, but the black subdial pop on it. Since the Chronomat is supposed to be an everyday, do-everything sports watch, I wanted a look that went with everything.

I also chose silver very simply because when I had every combo in front of me, in my eyes it was clearly the most beautiful, without meaning that it is not beautiful and with the other dials.

Love that look. Concerned about the thickness at 15.1mm. How does it feel on your wrist? I have the Avenger 43 and Superocean 42, at 12-13mm.

Sorry for the delayed response. 15.1 mm is measuring it in the center of the domed crystal. In fact the thicknes on the side of the case is 14 mm and on the wrist it is worn even thinner.

I toyed with the idea of one of these, and tried several on twice. The clear standout for me was the silver dial. Ultimately I decided to buy something else as it wasn't quite for me, but it's a lovely looking watch and the panda vibes from the silver are special.

Argo has some great pics of his on rubber strap if you search his posts, and it looks spectacular.

The green Bentley dial looks amazing in person. It’s the only one I’ve tried on but if I were picking one up, it would be hard not to choose that one.

Breitling is a brand back from the dead for me. They always had a star in the Navitimer, but the way they are putting out updated heritage designs under Kern has been genius. The Chronomat went from being my least favorite model, to my favorite. The new Premier line is perfect. I’d like to see them revisit and re-tweek a few more models over the next few years in the same vein. The Chrono-Matic (which I recently just bought a new old stock 2008 model), Chronoliner, maybe the Cockpit would be good starting off points.

It most definitely is but I have an avenger II with a blue dial and starting to have a fondness for blue dials.

Thanks for your replies, I am also drawn to the silver ‘panda’ option.

Great color no doubt but have a personal preference for their blue dials.

Went With the Silver

Almost did the black face; however, the silver was the clear and striking winner.
