How Much do 5513 Fat Inserts Go for?

Hello!
I was in the market for a fat numeral insert for my 5513, and was surprised by how expensive some the listingz s were.
Are these inserts really worth 1.5~2k usd? Or am I just looking at wrong places?

Any advice is appreciated!
Thank you!

Yes, they certainly sell for that much. Are they worth that much? That's hard to say.

Give it another five years and they'll be 4 grand. You'll be glad you got in when you did.

They’ve been selling for those prices for several years now. Really nice examples that are free from nicks and scratches or have a perfect (authentic) fade go for more. Having a proper tritium pip adds some value too.

Is a feet first Submariner 5513 from the 1970s worth $15,000 on up when it cost a couple hundred dollars new? Prices of vintage watches are way up now since they are considered collectables and the missing original parts that make up these vintage watches have a value also and they aren't 1970s prices.

Pay now or pay much more later. That's the way the collector market goes.

I've seen a few under 1K recently, but none of them were in good condition.
very visible dings and scratches and even rusts.
