PAM 01441 Ceramic - Does it look too big?

Hi All -

I'm looking for a ceramic watch and have been obsessed with this piece, especially the 'dirty dial' vintage lume look, but tried it on today and cant figure out if its too big for my 6.5" inch wrist, or if its just the strap that is too bulky and it would look fine if replaced with a rubber/cloth strap. Any opinions appreciated! This would be my first Panerai. Thanks in advance!

Looks totally fine.
Those 2 bottom pics are the most relevant.

That straps looks great. Would keep that on it for a while. You'll get used to it.

I think the watch looks great and the bottom pictures are the most reflective of how the watch will appear. For Panerai the size is most of the point. I would wear it and enjoy.

They are supposed to be big, without being too big, of course. Here, the lugs don’t hang over your wrist, so, I think it looks great on you. From a distance, like the last two pics, it looks perfect.

The black ceramic, ecru lume and blue hand look really good.

The distance shot is the one that matters. Close up all watches look bigger.

You are fine with this one. It looks great.

Yes, it wears big. But, IMO that's what that watch is all about. Wear it proudly, it looks great!

Also, what are your thoughts on the blue small seconds hand. It's the only thing putting me off

Hi guys sorry for the late update. A few twists and turns with this story. I was all set to move forward with this piece, but when I got back to my AD he had sold the piece and said it will take him a month to get another one..

I am willing to wait but...on the same day I got the opportunity to purchase a pre-owned but virtually new (unworn oct 18) 560 with 2 additional new straps, for an incredible price in a trade + cash (to me) for a VC I never wear. The 560 is also high on my list, so I pulled the trigger and pick it up tomorrow!

With regards to the ceramic 01441 I love it and will definitely get it at some point soon. The combo of dirty dial and blue hand is great (love the blue hand!)

Thanks again to all who chipped in with thoughts on the size. Gave me the confidence to get this piece once the 560 has settled in!

If you don’t like the blue hand there are quite a few 0441s out there on the pre-owned market that look the same but with regular hand colour - the writing on the dial is a bit different (says ceramica above the 6, I think to differentiate from PVD models). Also save quite a bit of $$. Worth a look!

Can someone tell me the difference in movement between the 441 and 1441? As the 441 is discontinued, i haven't been able to find a lot of detail on it. Then again maybe by Google skills are just poor. Thanks in advance

The movement in the 441 is thicker and thus the case is thicker...the updated movement in the 1441 is about 30% slimmer and thus the PAM wears closer to the wrist...

That’s it

Thanks alot for this. The height of the 441 was a concern so this is very good news. Is there anywhere i can read up on the 1441? Information is very sparse
