I am at a loss for words on this one. I picked it up because I had to. I am not skilled enough to get the case back off on my own. What is everyone's thoughts? Real or real good copy?

The Bracelet is absolutely no good I know that.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Looks ok to me. Watch was heavily worn but doesn't look to have seen many polishes. The bracelet is obviously not original but you can see where the original bracelet left indentations on the lugs. Id say you did ok assuming you didn't over pay. I don't see anything wrong, outside of maybe the xtal, unless its the angles. Looks like a smoothed out service crystal.

Dial, hands & insert look good...

I see maybe a 52xx in the serial# which is correct for this watch. All looks good from what I can see except of course the bracelet
which has already been pointed out. Can't be 100% certain without opening it up but I don't see anything alarming.
Triplock Crown & silver date wheel look straight also.

Best
Justin

If you're talking about oxidation, yes it's normal.

If it's something else that you saw about the hour hand, then it's the scratched up crystal that gave you the distorted view.

Pick of the year. I disagree with it being heavily worn, I see a lightly worn watch in extremely good condition, congrats

Facebook online garage sale. I need to get it openedup to verify it is real and not just a superb 'copy' but you all sure have me with high hopes.

I might even be a little giddy!

I noticed the end link wear marks as well. Can't fake that stuff. Fingers crossed on the movement.

Even if its a fake movement, that real case alone is easily worth 10 times what he paid

Wow, that's an amazing pick-up! How'd you do it?

I actually think that case might be unpolished. It's super thick. Lug holes are nice and flat, the beveled edges of the lugs look original, and the crown guards have that great, slightly squared shape. The sheen of the finish on the case is probably just decades of sleeve wear.

I'd service the movement, maybe a new crystal, splurge on a period-correct (or new) Sub bracelet, and you're all set. It was a steal, so I'd spare no expense getting it back in shape. Congrats!

Case seems unpolished looking at the the lug holes and crown guards.

I would suggest a movement service with fresh gaskets and a new crystal and then a nice 93150 bracelet!

Nice find!
