All things equal, is a grand sonnerie less expensive than a minute repeater?

Yes.

I was hoping it would only be a petite/grande sonnerie and not a minute repeater to make the watch more accessible but it is not. It is a minute repeater too and the price is reported to be CHF1,115,000.

Yes but the 6301 is both - grand sonnerie, minute repeater (and petite sonnerie)- looks like a remarkable piece in the website videos.

Was excited about this, but way out of my league. Looks spectacular though.

It's a stunner, sounds wonderful and is an amazing feat of watch making. Quite large at 44.8mm though.

Luckily with my extra hour advantage I was able to get 2 orders in!

Jokes aside, it’s a beautiful accomplishment, albeit a bit abstract due to size and price.

It's too big to wear.
And these watches are not thin either!

Agree at 45mm it’s ashame. But I wouldn’t exactly call 12mm “thick”

12mm is razor thin given what’s going on inside, but the diameter is quite large. I’d like to see it on someone’s wrist prior to making a final judgement, sometimes large watches still fit reasonably well based on the case shape. This is Patek at its absolute best, but my goodness that price.

I do not like that this watch has lume. It doesn't make sense and doesn't look good imo. I love everything else about it though.

The grandmaster chime seems like a bargain at 2.5M next to this 1.1M watch.

Looks like it. I don’t think PP hinted at any other announcements for today.

When I saw that it said "email" at the 6:00 position, I thought it might have been a smart watch too. ;). Actually it took me a second to realize that it was the translation on enamel.

Was secretly hoping there would be more revamped calatravas.

Good to see Patek continuing to produce/add new watches like these (be it majority of us wont buy).

How come zero water resistance? Otherwise it is technical marvel, not sure how 44.8mm would appeal to its target group customers...

Minute repeaters are generally hard to be made water resistant. Think of the sliding triggers for the chime. It's not easy to keep water out of that lol

It’s beautiful and while I’m a fan of larger watches, 44.8 is a bit big for even me.

Yes thanks. However, have seen them with something like 10, 20m which still buys you piece of mind...

Dont want think about situation you accidentally got it exposed to water:)

I think it's just fantastic! Absolutely stunning. A grail piece if there ever was one.
Now to find the funds...

Wow that's an incredibly clumsy site. Somehow most watch manufacturers seem to be stuck in 2007.

No. A water splash at the slide activators could spell trouble. Despite what anyone says this is a watch not really meant to be worn except maybe at home away from water. It is humidity resistant.
