Audemars Piguet Royal Oak

Hello everyone,

Does this AP Royal Oak look authentic or are there signs that it may be a fake? Before purchase, this watch will be sent in for authentication, however, I would like to save time if this watch doesn't look like the real deal.

Here is a imgur link to the photos:

Ok, thank you. How can I tell? For future reference it would be nice to know what to look for

Compare to pictures from the AP website. Best way to learn.

It’s not even close. Do lots of research OP. And if you like the one you posted, buy it, you’ll be wasting your money by spending proper cash on a real one.

So what specifically would lead you to believe it’s not an authentic piece ??

Not an AP

Run away from it.

If you can't tell the difference offer him $50 and enjoy the savings.

Talking to the OP as somebody suggested to compare his pics with authentic ones.

Hmmm just telling op to compare to real one tells him nothing imo . Perhaps I am blind but I see nothing in this piece that would lead me to believe it is a fraud. My AP looks just like it. I stand amazed that on this forum how seemingly quick many are to call a piece a phoney w/o giving any reason other than to say”look at other pics” Then say it’s “against the rules” to tell what the expert has seen to make an authoritative statement. Yet we see many postings that tell us thus and so specifically is problematic with other pieces- I guess I am confused. Thanks for any input.

What is it with fraudsters and nasty hands? If one can’t tell by looking at the watch just look at the the pinky nail

If Ant says its fake, it's fake. He is consistently right and I trust him 100% Now if I'm looking for payment advice, I'd refer to you.

That date alignment looks way off to the left. Could be a perspective thing, but it doesn't seem like it.

Whenever anyone uses the word "kindly" in a message, it's a scam.
