Deployant options for 5212A

So, I just got a call from the AD offering me a 5212A. I strongly like the watch but would prefer a deployant to the prong buckle. Unfortunately no other dress watches from PP are steel, so I’m wondering if one could in theory use an Aquanaut deployant (the only alternative is the 5726A deployant that has NAUTILUS engraved on it).

I don’t own an Aquanaut, but if I understood correctly it’s 18mm on the clasp side, and the notches with which the strap ends are attached to the deployant are held in place with common 18mm spring bars. So in theory, I should be fine ordering a set of 20/18mm fitted straps with no holes and no long or short end, just two identical halves of the same length... correct?

Anyone else has a good idea for an alternative? I’m assuming getting a 5522A clevis prong buckle id not going to be possible through any AD.

(Stating the obvious) you could get a white gold deployant, which is what I did...

Of course. I guess it’s not very visible but I have a pet peeve with mismatched materials on case vs clasp. Including stuff like titanium clasps on ceramic watches, and such. I will check it out using my 5172 clasp (and strap!) before deciding.

5172 strap looks great on the 5212 and the WG deployant matches well enough to my eyes - as you say an easy swop to see.
Congratulations

Ended up using a 18K clevis prong from the 5524G. Looks good, methinks! Taupe leather from ACM

Great look. One question, it looks like the 5 is not centered but too high in the box. Is that just the angle and it is actually centered?

Your only option is the WG 16mm model.

Well spotted! Oh it's just the angle. Really difficult to take good pics without reflections. My sales associate was holding a catalog on top to shield the lights and I was taking the pic with my phone at an awkward angle.
