Does jubilee bracelet (GMT) attract way more attention than Oyster (Sub)?
Thinking of grabbing a Pepsi but can’t get over how attention grabbing the jubilee looks. Would this watch garner more attention than a black sub? I assume Pepsi would attract as much attention as a bluesy (which I have on a rubber strap due to the unwanted attention)?
Curious to get thoughts on this bc I may just get a used Pepsi on oyster |

It will gather as much attention on either bracelet. A Rolex enthusiast would notice the black sub as much as the Pepsi though. Would someone who’s disinterested in watches notice either , probably not.

In 30 yrs of collecting and wearing Rolex ive had possible 3 x comments.....1 of these comments was about my ceramic pepsi.....i was in rolex service centre so possibly a fellow watch enthusiast....it was a negative comment about the bezel colours ....no mention of the jubilee

My BLRO has received more attention than my sub and SD43 combined....think it probably has to do with the jubilee but even then it’s only been two or three comments.

I'm confused. Is "more attention" good or bad?

I sold my 16753 because it was a bit too blingy for me and I wasn’t comfortable with it — TT jubilee included.
I replaced it with a 1675 black bezel which is much less in your face. Curiously, the BB iteration is really low on peoples’ radar — at least more so than the coke or the Pepsi versions. I get your worries over the showiness of the two, but I don’t think it’s a big an issues as you think. It bothered me because I am quite rough on my watches and I think the oyster is stronger (though it probably isn’t), and I’m not a TT guy (even my ring is white gold to match my watch). The real money is in how you feel with it on! The jubilee is dressier and more comfortable; the oyster is more tooly and rugged. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In my 30 plus years of wearing almost every version of Rolex, including YG, hardly anyone ever notices, like Peter said. If you love the watch, buy the watch... simple

A jubilee draws the same amount of attention as an oyster: None. If you are so concerned about it, wear a pocket watch.

The only comment I’ve received regarding the watch I was wearing is my Panerai

i think it does. The jubilee reflects more light, and catches the eye easily! i just got my first jubilee rolex (a DJ41) and its flashy as hell esp with the fluted bezel

I think it’s probably a little bit more flashy to the wearer and other fellow enthusiasts. To the rest of the normal folks, it’s just another watch on the wrist.

A watch enthusiast will recognize it regardless of the bracelet. Which isn’t a bad thing. Just someone who appreciates watches. Now, I’m not one who wants to attract attention, so I’ll go with a SS Black Sub. All my watches to me are understated, and simple. . My SS 36mm DateJust, SS Sub/Date, and 39mm White dial OP. Good luck OP.

In my experience, a jubilee will generally attract more attention.

Clearly opinions are all over the place here...but...100% the Jubilee is far more noticeable than the brushed oyster bracelet on a Sub...or even the GMT’s oyster with PCL’s. The Jubilee is very eye catching.
I have oyster bracelets with PCL’s, brushed oyster bracelets, and the BLRO on Jubilee - so I speak from experience. |

Yes it would catch more eyes than a black sub, but it would not be equal to the bluesy.

People may notice, but I think only a watch enthusiast would comment.
It has never happened to me except in a jewelry store when I was looking at watches. |

Pepsi/BLNO/Sub - average Joe on the street are going to think it is a Seiko.
You're likely to go through your whole life with one or two people noticing your watch. And these are going to be people who you will be able to talk in reference numbers, not model names. Buy what you like most, no one else is paying any attention. |

Personally, the jubilee does attract more attention. They may not comment, but I do notice them looking. More so then any on oyster. This applies also to my Seiko SKX on jubilee.

If you ever view the morning show, Live with Kelly and Ryan, you will see how much bling the GMT jubilee has ... Ryan Seacrest wears a BLRO on jubilee and under those studio lights it sparkles like diamonds. The BLRO would be bling-er than the BLNR because of the additional pop of the red ceramic vs. blue/black. I literally was purchasing a new car yesterday and the dealership business manager noticed and commented on my BLNR within 30 seconds of meeting me. |

Jubilee attracts more attention than oyster. Pepsi bezel more than a black one. My take. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
