Your 5270 looks way awesome in person. Thanks for letting me hold and check it out earlier 🍻

Such a gorgeous piece

I find the platona hard to read in low light

Looks like the 5270 is worse in these pics?

How do you find the legibility of the hour and minute hands?

Thank you and no problem - glad you got to check it out! The GTG was a great time. Nice to meet you and the rest of the crew; looking forward to the next one!

The 5270 has no lume, so that likely would be a factor if wearing it in very low light / darkness is a concern. However, the above pictures of it with the Platona, which admittedly are poor quality pictures to say the least, make the legibility appear worse than it is though. The hour and minute hands stand out more than represented above. I have no complaints with the 5270. I really love everything about it.

Great watch and fun pictures. But you know if this was a Rolex themed post you would have to include at least one sock picture

Thanks, everyone. This thread was revived from long ago.

And, yes, Neil is correct, that gorgeous blue dial did get away! I still have the R-version (the G, blue's replacement). R is a big change-up in my white metal and largely blue-themed collection. I now just need to commit to the R, open the seal and enjoy it! I think secretly (not so secret anymore) I'm hoping for a blue Platinum version, hence my hesitation.

Wow, very nice, what a combo the Platona and 5270 make!!
If I (ever) spend over $100K on a watch its either a 5270 or a RM of some kind, maybe both if I can manage down the road!!
Just gorgeous!!
