Thanks everyone for the answers!

Even if I love the 5970, I am tempted by the 5270 1st series.. You can now find great deals and you are buying the first watch with in-house built movement.. I think that in the long-run collectible wise just this will pay-off

Unfortunately I have quite a big wrist and the 3970 is definitively too small

I have a 5070P, and the one watch I've seen that I "may" like more
Is a 5970R. I like that more than the 5270s and more than the 5970P.

The 5270G-001 is indeed a beautiful watch

Here is mine, just to give you a better look at the gray dial.

I wasn't sure until I saw a bunch of them live. 5970r. Don't have one, but would like one.

Thank you all and have a great Sunday
Funny, I would choose the 5270 on looks, prefer windows to hands and the looks in general, then again never saw the 5970 IRL, and from investment would think 5970, but it may have hit the top already, not sure.
Of course the P will be THE one to get, but love the G and R

Some people like it for a central sweep seconds. I'm not particularly a fan myself, but each to his own.

I still love the wg series one 5270...I need to get one before they come out with a platinum 5270 and my attention gets once again distracted!

5970 has great balance.
The price is high vs msrp...how high will they go! Or will wearing it negatively impact your resale experience?
Classic and beautiful movement.
Great size.

5270 , not quite as good balance but more legible (imho) (variations among dials considered)
Price can be found fairly well discounted which should leave room for future appreciation.
In house movement nice power reserve.
Sized with more modern aesthetic.

Exceptionally clean display, especially for a PC.
Great pic.

Ps I very much prefer the dark hands and hour markers.
