Keep the Rolex. Everyone needs one Rolex. There will be days you will want a good beater!

Thanks guys! It's an awesome feeling when I have this on my wrist and happy to be part of the community.

PS. I would recommend keeping the Rolex. Not just for sentimental value, there will also still be occasions where you would rather wear a slightly less delicate "tough watch" (I speak from experience).

Thanks for the advice - I'm likely keeping the Rolex. It's hard for me to think of the Rolex as a daily beater but I know what you guys mean!

Keep the Explorer as your "beater" watch.
Thanks man - my kid will thank you one day when this watch is on his wrist.

I think my tardiness in buying yours finally pushed me to pull the trigger after heming and hawing for 3+ years! Thanks again for helping out a noob!

Haha isn't that the Patek marketing slogan:

“You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation.”

As of late, the slogan feels more like:

“You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next guy who buys it from you for a massive premium.”

Keep that Explorer for sure. It just tells part of your story. Memories.
