5712 SS sizes?

I'm seriously considering trading my DD2 for a 5712. I just don't look great in YG, as attractive as it is, and I love the 5712.

I'm a little confused though. Is there a jumbo and a regular size 5712? Any dial options other than grey and blue? Anything else I should know?

Thanks for any info/advice.

One size only, and those have been the only two dial choices (for SS) – the grey having been discontinued a year or so ago.

5712 blue SS is very nice, but so is the 5712R on strap, check them both out.

The steel 5712 is one size and comes in blue

If you were looking for something smaller you could go for the 3712, if you can find one and happy to pay the premium.

Actually I'm looking for something bigger as I have 8" wrists.

It will be very difficult for me to let go of my DD2 just on principle alone. Sadly, I think YG just doesn't look amazing on me so I'm on the fence.

I am also not crazy about how my brand new Bluesy looks on my wrist for the same reason.

I guess there are worse problems, lol. Still, it's a tough decision all around. I guess I just feel like I need a daily SS watch that I can also wear with a suit and the 5712 really speaks to me.

Thanks for all of the input.

I would recommend the 5980/1A if you are a big guy... it's thicker and still offers Nautilus blue dial!

The new chrono could be right up your street sizewise.

Both good recommendations but the 5980 would be my choice.

Both good recommendations but I'd choose the 5980 out of those two and it would probably be easier to get your hands on.

Sadly, the 5980 is out of my price range this time around. It is a beautiful piece though!

Same size absolutely as the 5712... but 2 piece case instead of 3, no screw down crown, and a small marker at 7, plus the date font is a little different, smaller or bigger don't remember, but the case size is the same...

Not much in it, but the 5712 is a little bigger (43mm ear to ear compared to 42mm). The 5712 is also a bit thicker.

In fact the ears on the 3712 are curved inside, on the 5712 and modern Ones curved outside, about the thickness never heard that, you might be right as maybe the 2 piece case makes it thinner, not sure
