Man, it really is such a visually appealing watch, even better when the second time zone is activated. I got to try one on in Las Vegas last month, and kept telling (fooling) myself the extra thickness was a deal breaker (ha!).

Enjoy your watch and be sure to reread this gem (complete with amazing pictures): https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/ph...eference-5164a
it was pre-owned but like new

Been considering this myself. Does the 5164 have more "presence", for lack of a better word, on the wrist than the 5167?

Fantastic watch congrats. I tried one and it's the easiest gmt function to use....just beyond my budget.

definitely more presence (i actually think the case diameter is modestly larger). The pushers also have an impact. it is thicker, but not really a thick watch by most measures.

The 5164A is a great watch for those travel frequently. Congratulations on your new watch and enjoy

Definitely agree - easy to use complication, comfortable, high water resistance, and flies under the radar.

Congrats! Did the same. Love the blue accents, and even more so the white lume. Much more pleasing for me than the greenish lume color on the 5167.
Just picked up my green strap. Completely changes the feel of the watch.

Congratulations! I really loved the look and comfort of mine. Unfortunately, I decided to sell because I just couldn't take the rotor noise. It almost rattled. It just gave me a feeling that the watch was fragile and it played on my mind. Maybe I'm just dealing with OCD issues. Haha!

In any event, congratulations and wear it in good health!

I've been thinking about the green myself. They make green for the 5164 reference or did you just use one from a 5167 model?

Thanks! Not fond of the rotor noise, but I must be getting used to it from my 5711

I thought they make a separate 5164 in green but it seems they don't. So I'm using the 5167 strap. Looks great, but a pain to install!
