Advice needed - AP 26315ST + Rolex 126610LV for PP 5170

Would you make this trade for a used PP 5710 (black dial)?

AP 26315ST (38mm blue sub-dial)
Rolex 126610LV
+ Cash

Both AP and Rolex are BNIB.

From a $ value perspective, no.

From a watch-that-I'd-rather-have perspective, yes.

I would, yes. I think you'd be getting a more refined and superior watch. I have an LV and would use it towards a piece like the 5170

Agreed with what everyone says. I don't mind parting with the LV, it's the AP that I'm thinking twice about. The 5170 is definitely a superior watch in every way but I'd be losing money on the AP for the trade, AND having to put in additional cash.

If your getting the platinum 1000000% regardless how much cash on top

If black, that’s really pretty too but so is the 38 white blue AP

Hahaha...Not getting the platinum for sure. The cash on top is around $6K so from the $ perspective like everyone said, it's def a bad deal.

You’ll probably regret letting go of that particularly AP. I wouldn’t do it. The 5170 is objectively a “better” watch, but if you enjoy wearing Royal Oaks, you’ll end up lusting after one again after trading your only AP (unless you have others) for a dress watch.

Hard to say, completely different watches...

Personally - heck no! You have two all time greats for a very respectable dress watch but I'd get 5x the wear

I'd be holding onto the 26315

If keep your AP and trade the rolex with more cash on top.

Not a chance. There’s so much versatility in the ROC and LV compared to just a dress PP chrono. But maybe there’s a reason why it’s BNIB… you don’t wear them?

But hey it’s your wrist and your money
