Robb Report had a an empty store (converted to an event space). Had some good conversations with the photographer Cole, but there wasn't many people when I showed up... it was when they just opened on Saturday.

Boutiques were hit and miss, mostly just a few pieces to show - some just behind glass cases. Some stores had passed drinks / hors d'oeuvres.

Ran into another guy that was wearing a 5711 browsing the Van Clef store - but other than that didn't see much action.

Having worked at SCP for going on 8 years now, that seems to be the norm. Back in the day the mall would go all out for events knowing it would drive up foot traffic (thus keeping all the boutiques smiling even as they write some of the most outrageous rent checks ever seen). Now sadly it seems the sheen has worn off and the "events" are merely transparent marketing gimmicks.
Such a shame too because of the caliber of boutiques that the mall still retains, these events could be really stellar and considering all the dough the Segerstroms ingest, they should.
