Incoming - 5980R

Called my AD inquiring about 5980R, and received a call the next day telling me to come and pick up. I guess it's meant to be. Love it, especially after changing to the calf strap, much more casual looking.

It's the watch that you can wear every single day of your life and not worry about, or it's the watch you can put in a safe and have it rise in value year after year. The Submariner is, in my belief, the quintessential timepiece for many. When my mind thinks of the word 'watch,' it is a Submariner I see."

The strap takes a little while to break in but once you do it is extremely comfortable. You quickly get used to the weight, particularly when the strap has broken in and is properly sized.

I've found getting different coloured straps quite addictive, only earlier tonight I was thinking about going for something brighter!

Many congrats Daniel, this was the first PP that really made me fall for the brand, just exquisite. Wish my 5711R had a strap option.

the croc strap on my 5712R was very uncomfortable even after six months, then i put the calf leather strap on. the situation improved only slightly until i realized that it is more the buckle that bothers my mannequin wrist than the strap:::))) i sold the watch because of that. i feel it is very unfortunate since i like nautilus on leather - contrary to many folks here.

Interesting feedback; how large is your wrist and is it generally flat or rounded?
