Waiting time for Patek 5712 18 months and counting?

Guys I have put in a deposit last February in Toruneau for a patek 5712 almost 18 months. ( New York)

They given me a customer number and reference number etc.

Realistically what’s the wait for one of these pieces.

Unfortunately it is how long is a piece of string, what do they say? - in the UK I don’t think AD’s ever take a deposit.

I got my 12 from tourneu...

It took about 1 year. And I did not put a deposit. And I have like 3-4 other pieces still on a Special order. But Tourneu waitlist is too long... there’s too many stores in their system

It also depends how hard the local salesperson Fights for you.

Also tourneu NYC has closed their list already. I use to shop at 3 tourneu all over the country. But I only shop at 1 now cause my AD there is a cool dude. And he’s not from NYC.

Also I believe they have been changing their policies on allocations after they been sold.

If they told u 3-5 years. It will be at least that.

Yeah but Ninja, even your cat and dog have PP. I think the OP has no history based on their last post.

Haha no worries. I prefer a bulky stainless steel hence the 5726. In fact I had the 5712a a while back for a few years and sold it on! So maybe I am!

Do him a fav and sell one of yours for friendly prices! Does your housekeeper really need to keep track of moon phase? She can make do with a lowly 5711..

Is that the Aspen getaway? What's the next watch mate? Can't believe you don't have a PC naut yet..
Best of luck OP, My suggestion is if you really have your heart set on it buy it from a grey.. lifes too short and have a feeling it's a goner I'm a year or two.
One thing I've noticed, when 5726 was suddenly in demand and people suddenly asked me if they could buy mine, it was discontinued year after.. same with 5167, who knows.. I might be paranoid but these grey dealers must know something we don't..

Btw I just joke...on almost everything on here. Some of you that know me. Know I just mess around. Please don’t take anything I say seriously.

I do live in a Hut tho, partly because I physically built it. Partly because I’m a very modest guy lol

Just in jest, you're living the dream with the ADs, I gave up with mine a long time ago.

Is this just a US AD thing? I've never given a deposit for a watch, just put my name down and hardly ever got called lol. Guess I've been doing it wrong all these years. I'd rather save time and buy the watch I want thsn a load I dont..

Hindsight mate, but if you had loved it you wouldn't have sold it.. Mine didn't get much wrist time. The shiny rose gold however does shine and excite.. you should try it might grab you more..

Don’t worry about aqua boy over there. He’s doing just fine. He’s on the hunt for a T-Stamp

It’s the summer, you are staying at a trendy hotel. I’m sure you’ll see a lot of T stamps. The new thing is those shorts that go above the butt cheeks and the yoga tights

Ouch 3-5 years sounds so long. Or even the 18 months that the OP has waited.

Over in Hong Kong the game is a lot different I guess ... with the "right" job/name card 5711/5712 (both in stainless) are obtainable within several months. Referred my friend to my AD, he got the 5712 in 4-5 months (could have even been shorter).

But for those without the "right" job/name card, basically there is zero hope of getting one.

And if you already have the 5711, it will be harder for you to get the 5712, and vice versa - apparently they don't want too many "hot" items concentrated in one person. Of course buying a few annual calendars will bump you up the list...
