New CODE 11:59 Stirring some feelings?
So, over the past two weeks, I am going to just flat admit this specific new CODE model is growing on me. I am looking forward to seeing one in the flesh to make a sound judgment on it.
My only immediate gripe in photos is the alligator band has to go as I would want to give the watch a more casual feel. I'm thinking a black/charcoal sailcloth would look really sharp. |

No doubt, this is probably the best looking expression of the Code so far. I’m a hold out for the Code Offshore.

Answer to title question is yes. But the price is still incongruous. At that price point, there’s a number of options.
I’m liking the time/date only in the same color scheme but gripe with price remains.

Don't listen to anyone, buy what you love and are passionate about. Some people take risks and others don't, some think they are always right without even seeing something or looking at facts, seems to be happening a lot nowadays.
The new color ways on the CODE are really nice. |

Price point is high, but it will give you the keys to the magic kingdom of sought after models. They will easily be able to bundle it up with a choice of a nice RO now or in the future.

Actually it’s growing on me too, want to try it in the flesh... maybe a trip to Vegas needs to happen soon. Also the grey two tone I really want to see. Price point makes it tough though

The Japanese saw in the Simplicity something the rest of the world would only come to appreciate much later. Is this a sign of success to come for AP?

A member on another post was mentioning he was offered the 15202ST by his AD. That could be attractive.

Nothing stirring here, sorry. If one likes it though and does not merely want the Code as the key to the gates of RO'dom, more power to them!
Cheers Marc |

Follow up question. Has anybody seen this Chrono model in the flesh? Or, the standard self-winding model? Given the state of the world I have no plans to be in NYC any time soon or any boutique that would have the Code. I'm not even sure if they're available yet.
I definitely would have to see it - it's not a watch I'd just say "OK" over the phone. I have some of the same concerns others have stated as the dial may or may not be as good as photos, and the hands are...interesting. I also can't say I am a huge fan of the case size - When I tried one on last year it was definitely larger than I thought it was going to be. Plus, as people are suggesting, I'd hope there would be some conversation that would confirm buying a Code might lead to something better in the future. |

Was fortunate to try all the “new” ones and it is definitely an improvement, 2 tone chrono black dial is very attractive and a close second with the burgundy dials imho however nothing compares to my number one, my favorite and truly on a class of its own...I usually don’t post pictures of watches that I try on but I am seriously considering this piece!
