‘88 GMT Coke

I’m a newb in vintage but I really liked this GMT and it seemed pretty clean. Does it look correct? Store is asking $12k. Does that seem too high?

I’m here to learn, but I feel like the bezel insert needs mentioning. The bold 2 looks out of place also.

You will need to supply a lot more information before anybody could make a realistic and useful assessment of the watch:

What is the model number?
Is it with the original box and papers?
Is there an original receipt?
Does it have a service history?
Is it for sale from a jeweler, a watch dealer or private individual?

That's before the details of the condition, service parts, bracelet clasp codes, etc. are considered.

An easy way to look at whether this is good value for money is to look at comparable watches on Internet sites, but in the end it really depends on whether you like it and are prepared to pay the final price for it.

Insert looks fine….the 2 is bold because of the light….12k I buy with papers…I feel like it’s closer to 10k naked which I assume it is….

-16710 (R Serial)
-Yes, original box and papers
-No original receipt
-No service history but watch dealer said it's been in a safe for 15 years. Original owner passed away and son sold it to them. It's keeping good time.
-Watch dealer.

Thanks! Yes, the 2 looks normal in person. The picture makes it look weird. It has box and papers that are correct.

The "bold 2" is bold because of the lighting. Nothing wrong with it.

Nice watch and a very nice price if it is complete. Take it if it is as nice and correct as it looks.

Other than the bracelet and serial number on papers. How can I tell it’s all correct? Also, how can I tell if this is a service dial. I don’t think the dealer knows.

You could post more pictures but I would trust Springer in this regard as he is the resident expert on GMTs. However, more pictures would definitely be a good thing. 1665Fan also knows his shizite from what I have seen on this forum. Good luck!

I wish the case was a little sharper, but overall I like it.
