decision…decision…PAM giddy or EXPLR 2

Hi all…
I wanted to dive-in to another watch, and already own a panna….No surprises there…simple, clean, elegant and dna.
anyhow, cut things short…I’ve short-listed to these 2 on my next venture…EXPLR with white dial ..both will be preowned…. my problem is 1950 giddy costs twice of EXPLR 2…so, I can hv excuse to missus that I bought our ‘couple’ watch
than just getting 1 ‘giddy’ for myself…which she will probably be bragging this purchase on me for the rest of my life…then again, that’s why we all get married…right?

any inputs much appreciated.

I’m assuming Explorer 2 latest 42mm watch? If so, tough choice. I love my old Panerai watches & as much as I love the Fiddy I can’t get over the 1950 on the dial. The white dial Explorer for me is the one Rolex I would like. What other Panerai do you own?

346..which is 45mm…I’m more drawn to pan than EXPLR, like the simplicity and that dome glass…rolex and other brands don’t do such that appeal…

The white dial Explorer II is the watch I would and have chosen. I am a huge Panerai fan and have owned many 47mm models. I am currently the owner of a 1305. The 127 is a beautiful watch and the price is reflective of the significance of the reference. If I was looking to go that route, I would buy a 422 or a 423 for a fraction of the cost of a 127 and then get a Polar Explorer II from the last generation slightly pre-owned. Both for what a good example of a 127 will cost. Just my thoughts.

Own a 127

Purchased a 127, I can’t imagine not owing this one now — the way if feels and looks with the domed sapphire crystal

Careful on the Fiddy the number of great fakes are a problem.

If you don’t have a Rolex and you already have a panerai, get the expl2. Maybe sell your current Pam and upgrade to the giddy..

Are you giddy for a Fiddy or a baller for an Explorer?

Sorry

I chose the Polar also to complement a Pam. It has been my first white dial ever too. Excellent pair. I totally adore the way the latest Explorer II wears and looks, becoming my daily.

Go for it!

Both are different time pieces! The Panerai 127 limited production watch and great history ,the explorer massed produce watch still a great time piece .I would go with the 127probably only issue is 47mm size! Good luck!

Why not look into a Pam 422?

Pretty close to the 127 in terms of design and half the cost
