Celebrating a new OP36

Picked up yesterday. Very happy to be able to receive this watch. First that hit my AD. In real life the dial is very distinctive. Not for everyone, for sure. A certain degree of distance to oneself and life may be needed to appreciate the watch.

Congrats. I hope to get one. Got to see the exhibition one at the AD and looks spectacular in person.

Congrats! I tried to get one, but the AD mentioned it's harder to get than the SS Daytona. :D They didn't even get me on the list, however I bought many watches from them. :(

“Distance to oneself and life”?

For a moment I kind of liked this watch, but this statement threw me off. What do you mean by this?

Congrats… I guess. :)

Read that several times too… thought the problem was my NON-native English

I think for the natives this would translate into sth like „relaxed approach”. So much tention about receipt of this dial.

Looked terrible on me when I tried it on, but you pull it off much better. Just make sure you're not late for any important appointments with that watch on since time is so hard to read - congrats!

Thanks. Read time on mobile. I think it should be worn with one-colour clothes. Otherwise too much would be going on.

I hadn’t noticed that, until you pointed it out. It’s not very legible! Should I take myself off the list?

I don’t know how others but I check time with my iPhone. My watches are purely for undisturbed glaring at them.

To be honest, I don’t understand the hype about this configuration.
It looks comically cheap and impractical.
I wouldn’t wear even if it were gifted to me for free.
But I guess everyone is different
