You can’t go wrong with 000,005 or 111 and 112 if you want base models.
For while dail the regatta or daylight are great choices. Anyway. There are not bad Panerais , all off them are great. |

It's actually the 1000 (the 1005 has a seconds hand). ;-) But, whether 1000 or 1005, Ruud is 100% correct, go for the 000/005....The new 1000/1005 should be avoided at all costs (they take major steps back from the 000/005 due to having integrated bezels, snap-on case backs and WR of 100m instead of 300m). |

I would go pre-owned that is complete with the box and papers. Can't miss with a 000 or a 005 and they are easy to flip on a trade or a sale without losing very much.

Thanks guys! I would like to do business with David since he has the 005 but was wondering, his watch is 12 years old, do you think it would need a service since no history is known?

It may, but, with the ETA, it can be easily serviced quickly & economically by any competent watchmaker. Or, send it to PASC and get a like-new piece back. But, if David says it runs fine now, it does, no worries. |

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I guess I’ll be talking to David today. I hate this damn forum as all I want to do is spend money lol. I know that has been said a billion times already I’m sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The 005 is an EXCELLENT choice. I love my 164 and have too many memories with it to change, but, if I had to do it over, I probably would go with a 005. Oh, and, I bought mine through David, too. Looking forward to the incoming! |

All great suggestions!
My first Panerai was a PAM 312 because I wanted one with a date and I love it. |

You going to be happy, the 005 is perfect and I also like the G series, because the numbers are fatter then the new ones. FYI I drive a Porsche Cayenne so it’s the same VW |

The G series is nice but
It'll probably need a service I mean it is 14 years old, just a heads up.

Congrats! You're gonna love the 005, it's a perfect first - or only - Panerai. And I see it came with an extra strap, too. Awesome

I’m digging it for sure, downside is my wrist is too big for the strap darn it. I figured a few minutes late to work wouldn’t be a big deal to try it on . Now strap shopping! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
