It doesn't wear thick to me and I've been lucky with no date issue during a year of ownership. It's probably the best GMT for the money. Other than style I often find myself struggling to justify the current Rolex when it comes down to the which to wear decision.

That BC strap looks amazing Dan. Could I bother you to share the model # or where you got it from? The BC website isn't the most consumer friendly and doesn't seem to have any shopping options or retailer details

Thanks, Jimmy!

It's a BC 400CT from Watchgecko:
https://www.watchgecko.com/zuludiver...rs-watch-strap

They're in the UK, I'm un the US and delivery only took 3 days.

Got the end links from SmartyJones:
http://www.smartyendlinks.com

If using the end links you will have to sand down the springboard end a bit to get it to fit. Just take some fine sandpaper and rub the springboard end radius a little bit at a time. Doesn't take very long and don't over do it.

You'll love that combo!

Excellent watch for sure. Great value for money. Love the vintage vibe but with modern features. Timekeeping is super. Cannot recommend it enough. Initially I didn't like it after reading reviews and looking at the pictures. But after trying it on at an AD, I was sold. Maybe because I tried it on the leather strap and it was different to the other Rolex watches I have which are mostly on the steel bracelet.

So just how widespread is this date issue that people have mentioned? I did some googling and it seems like it mostly affects early production models? If I get mine in 3-4 months as estimated by the AD, will it most likely have the fixed movement that people claim was implemented to address the issue?

I have smallish wrists 6.8", and the BB's fit me fine. The nice thing is the lug-to-lug is reasonable, so other than height/thickness, it wears well. The clasp could be more comfortable on their bracelet (wish it had a Pelagos clasp) but it's minor.

I bought mine brand new from AD in March this year. It had the date issue and I sent in RSC. Initially, I was told an 8 weeks wait for a new movement change but barely 2 weeks I had gotten the call to pick it up. Another contact of mine whom bought around the same time also encounter same issue thus I do not think the newer batch will be free from trouble.

It is a great watch. Built like a real tool watch. Wear it on every occasion. I love it. Very good looking one. Imho, buy it without any hesitation!

Generally the older ones have the issue. Mine was purchased in December and has not had any issues (knock on wood) however it most likely depends on the production date and there may be some early production models still floating around out there.

Hmm, not exactly reassuring but I guess worst case I'll just have to go without for a few weeks if it needs to be fixed. You figure this would be something that they would have tried to correct ASAP in their production line.

On The Tudor site the difference between the Nato and the Bracelet model is $325.00. I'm guessing $350-475?

I bought a bracelet. Think it was about AUD$600.

I'm going to wait until the movement issues and production has ramped up, but then yes I'll be getting one.

Been keeping an eye out for any for sale and finally found one slightly used for much less than new. Really just needed the end links since the THC bracelet is exactly the same but finding those separately is even harder. Due to the July 4th Holiday I'll see it next week.

Picked up my GMT this week. Looks great on bracelet and either blue or brown leather straps.

I lucked out at the AD last week as one had just arrived and the guy at the top of the list declined it. I ordered the Tudor leather strap and deployant which should arrive in about 2 weeks. I am very pleased with the watch. No date change issue, and I like the no PCL look. Price less than half of the Rolex GMT which is a lot tougher to find at MSRP.

Mike, the first bracelet I bought [2nd hand] turned out to be a fake. And a pretty good one at that. The seller was a standup guy and immediately took it back for a full refund.

Then I found a rivet [2nd hand] which is the proper bracelet for the GMT. Lucky for me it all worked out in the end.

I love mine. Prefect for dress or causal use. Mine is on a steel bracelet, it’s a bit thicker and heavier than my explorer ii(ref:216570) but overall build quality is superb. Best watch for 4K IMO.

Wow, really? They were selling a fake bracelet? Glad to hear the seller did the right thing. Do you have any pictures of it? Curious to see how close it looks.

I'm trying to source an OEM bracelet for mine. Any suggestions on where to look?

I just happened to be lucky enough to find a couple on WUS & Ebay at the same time. That's where I'd look.

In the first pic you see the difference in the safety clasp hinge, fake on the right, original on the left.

In the second pic the machining of the deployant is not as precise as seen inside the Tudor shield cutout [fake on top, original on bottom]. Also the connecting pin on the opposite side protrudes out and is not as finely detailed.

The third pic shows the difference in the finger catch, with a sharper angle arch on the original [bottom] vs fake [top].

My suspicions were confirmed when I found another fake bracelet for sale with the exact same clasp date code.

Speaking of the bezel, I love that it’s a 48 click than the 24 click of the Rolex, which allows me to offset correctly when in one of those weird 30 minute offset timezones (which I do run into). It’s rugged, can take a beating, and brings a smile to my face every time I look at it.

A downside is it is chunky. At 14mm or so in thickness, it isn’t as slim as the GMT II. I don’t mind too much, as it’s really more of a tool watch for the field than a board room.

I recommend it. And I think you’ll be really happy with it.

Chunky but compact. That is why nearly anyone can wear one.

This is a real eye opener, thanks for posting. That just shows how good these fakes can be. I'm not sure I would have any idea if I didn't have a real one to compare to it. Think of how many they have sold where the owner has no clue. To me, looking at it, the only thing I would say looks "off" is the finger catch. But again without a real one to look at I'm not sure I would have picked up on it.

This is making me think maybe I just bite the bullet and buy from the AD

No question having my THC bracelet available to compare was extremely helpful.

Is lack of quick set date bothersome? Not sure I've had a watch without quick set date.

It doesn't bother me since it has the independent hour hand which makes setting the date a bit faster.
