Quick question about the case thickness, can the watch be worn under the cuff of a long sleeve dress shirt? I always wear long sleeve shirts and I want a watch that will neatly tuck under the cuff.

I’m sure it would and will try that next fall/ winter. Sorry don’t have a pic. Some thick leather straps might have a fit issue with the end links though.

Mine fits under the sleeve. But each of us are different, same with clothing. Hard to say what works for me will work for you.

From my experience no, or not easily anyway. I love the watch but the one place I don't wear it is with a dress shirt. Unless your cuffs are very loose they will hang up on the edge of the case. The GMT is best used as a casual watch in my opinion

Yes, it does though my dress shirt is tailored but I find it goes very well with either of my blue or pink shirts

Hey Dan, great write up and pics. From what I'm seeing over the internet, is the lume color a bit closer to teal rather than green? Also from some shots in the dusk, it seems closer to chromalight (post #40; great shot but the way!). I used to own a S&G and this was not the case. That looked definitely green, like superluminova green, at any time.

Basil,

No idea, I'm colorblind. My wife says it's green. But just like all traffic lights it looks white to me.

Oh man I didn't know. But thanks anyway, if she says it's green then it's probably just like all the other black bays.
White lume would be great to look at.

Picking up mine tomorrow. Curious to see it in the metal.
Hope I won't be disappointed.

Nice review, read a review of the gmt in a watch magazine. In it the reviewer praised the watch as a whole, especially the movement.

I have had this watch for a week now and have switched out the bracelet for a watchgecko blue Helmsley leather strap. The blue matches the blue part of the bezel perfectly.

Saw that and it's a stunner! Does the strap taper to 18mm to use the Tudor deployant?

Loving the rivet bracelet. But then, always good to keep your options open.

The trouble w/ most aftermarket straps are the lack of taper from 22mm to 18mm as well as the need for a very short 6:00 side so the deployant clasp is centered. Almost have to go custom to get it perfect.

Thanks! Do you know any strap that can be adjusted?
Do you know the RIOS1931?

Juan,

There are deployants clasps from Tag Heuer & Omega that will allow adjustment for the strap you've provided a link to but won't work w/ the Tudor deployant because there are no sizing holes and the 6:00 is way too long.

Thank you ! I really like the leather strap that comes with the GMT ... I buy the deployant and I just need the strap now ..
I'll go see the AD in my area.
It is a beautiful watch that I intend to keep.

Very nice wire up. It's a good looking watch and I've been hunting for one as well.
