Which one from my Collection...

Hi all

I’m about to embark on a two week drive through Spain and France, with the general theme being long lunches, plenty of wine, a bit of sight-seeing, and some pool time.

I am taking my Speedmaster Reduced on a GGB nato strap to wear for the couple of days in Pamplona as I hear there is a lot of pick-pocketing at the bull running and bull fighting, but I need to choose one watch for the rest of the trip.

Which would you choose from my collection...

Patek Nautilus 5990
AP Royal Oak Diver
AP Royal Oak 15450
Rolex Daytona 116519 LN on OF
Rolex Sea Dweller 116600
Rolex GMT 126710 BLRO
JLC Reverso GMT Moonphase
TAG Microtimer

I have a Swatch Sistem51 for such trips. Kinda cool plastic watch that actually has an interesting 51 piece machine made non serviceable movement that is very innovative. When I travel or do things that would put my nice watches at risk I always were this one. Check it out.

The Sea Dweller should work and give you some options.

I would say Rolex Daytona 116519 LN on OF, so we can see more pics of it in action!

Sea dweller. It'll balance out the Speedy on nato and allow you to do whatever water sports you want.

Casio, Seiko and/or Orient

We had a bad experience in Barcelona (pickpocketing). These guys will wear your collection up their entire sleeve.

AP Diver - probably the least expensive of the alternatives (ignoring the TAG)

So, having given it much thought, it seems a shame to travel with just one!

So...

Speedy for Pamplona (pick-pocket territory), Daytona for the beach and pool, and the Nautilus for wining and dining

When traveling, I take one watch that I don't really care too much about if it's damaged, lost, or stolen.

I think 3 pieces will be too much as it will unnecessarily add to stress (whereabouts, etc.). I would just take the SD with me and make sure it is insured. But that is me :)

Have fun at San Fermin, I’ve been several times and it’s f’n crazy. Personally I wore a G-Shock there as it’s a hard core party, and I did the running of the bulls each morning. You’ll get absolutely doused in champagne, wine and kalimotxo so at least wear something waterproof.

Also, I fell asleep (passed out) in the street and in the park a few times, another reason to wear something cheap in Pamplona.

Have fun! Don’t dive off the fountain with the Aussies!

It’s working rather well so far...although the Patek is dominating!
