Picked mine up on Friday and I'm very happy. No issues for me, it's very comfortable. Everyone has their own opinion but I don't see an issue. The change in the bracelet was one of the reasons I purchased this one over the previous model....and the movement.

New Speedmaster watches - sharp edges on bracelet?

I suppose this new Speedmaster became too popular. You understand the continuation

Somebody needs to put it down and ready to pay for it.

TTWC guy is definitely an above average guy in stature. obviously that petite asian girl who tried the 3861 won't have the edges of the case digging in her wrists and make it uncomfortable, they are clearly hanging outside her wrists since it's too big for her.

Moreover, this video you linked comes from a jeweller store, you can't seriously expect them to trash a product they are going to sell right?

I tried on the hesalite Friday.

No issues with the bracelet, but I liked my 1863 bracelet as well.

Ultimately, it looked like a speedy. The dial might have been a bit more matte/washed out looking, but that could have been jewelry store lighting.

Step dial was neat...when I looked for and noticed it.

I thought the winding was far easier than the old version.

I’ll check out the sapphire when they get one in - I like applied indices and looking at the movement, but I passed on this one and picked up a different chrono.

Here’s some pics.

Hi. Chiming in late but I bought a 3861 Hesalite and yes the bracelet is sharp and is painful on the inside edges. I took some 450 wet sandpaper to the edges and it’s better. However, I contacted my AD about it. Hope they take a buffing wheel to it to smooth out the edges.

I bought a sapphire bracelet for my snoopy and it was sharp on the link edges and also the clasp. I then tightened the bracelet up one notch on the clasp and it was great after that. I think the fit is important to this one

I bought the new Speedmaster last Friday and I'm returning it this week. I didn't have a problem with the case sharpness but I do with the bracelet. It feels scratchy and abrasive when it moves on your wrist, such as when you put your hand in your pocket which causes the watch to move a bit. It's also pulled out a few hairs - something I've never experienced before with other watches, as I don't really have hairy arms.

Shame, as it's a stunning looking watch but not for me with that bracelet.

People have different levels of sensitivity.
For me, this bracelet is ultra-comfortable.

I have servers speedys and by far IMHO it is one of the most comfortable watches I have owned. Only thing missing is the adjustment on the clasp, but I have ordered a new clasp to sort this out. I think like has been mentioned fit is the most important part.

Is there a new adjustable clasp for the 3861s? What was the price? Thanks!

No but I think the Chronoscope clasp can fit the 3861 bracelet.

The Chronoscope clasp does work with the 3861 but the amount of adjustment is so miniscule you might as well not even mess with it. One of the few times I have been disappointed in an OEM anything from Omega.

I'm coming up to 12 months with my 3861 Hesalite - no bracelet or case sharpness to comment on.
Is there a recent defective batch of bracelets that need addressing by Omega & is it territory specific?

I've recently taken delivery of a 3861 Sapphire moonwatch and can confirm the case is ever so slightly sharp, but in no way sharp enough to be uncomfortable or even noticeable when on wrist.

no injuries yet with casual wear since picking up this weekend, overall I find it highly comfortable and quickly becomes a part of your wrist.

I’ve had the 3861 hesalite since December and have worn it frequently since then with no issues.

To be honest, I don’t think Omega has received enough credit for how well they upgraded such a beloved model. I owned a 1861 for years and years but the new version hits all the right notes (for me anyway).

I think you are absolutely correct. I picked up the 3861 bracelet for my 1861 and love it. Very comfortable indeed. Like the slimmer vintage styling.
