Daytona panda or 26315ST white dial

Managed to get on a waitlist for the 26315ST white dial. Should get it sometime this year. That said wanted to get your thoughts on the panda dial Daytona. In two minds now on which one I should go for. Daytona would
Be gray and the 26315ST would be from the boutique.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

AP and it's not even close. Gray Daytona prices are unjustifiably crazy.

Having owned several Daytonas including WG Panda and APs, 26315ST hands down is my choice in between the two.

100% go for the AP- finishing is second to none and the wrist presence is amazing!

I have had em all. The AP is the only one where pricing seems justified (the ~30-35k grey price). Hold one next to each other and you will know what I mean

A similar question was posed on the Rolex General Discussion board a couple weeks ago. You’d think there’d be Rolex bias, but, IIRC, the overwhelmingly majority (rightfully) preferred the AP, especially if we’re talking about the Daytona at grey market price.

True that.

Have pretty small wrists and my last purchase was a 15450 which fits great so I think this should be ok. Thanks for the heads up though. And yes the finish is stunning

Thanks for the feedback guys.Much appreciated. Just a long wait for the call now from AP.
The Daytona would complete my collection I feel but the current grey price is absolute madness

Ordered a Sinn U50S last year which should get delivered soon. For those not familiar with the brand definitely check it out. Absolute stunner.

if you ask in the AP discussion group, 90% of your responses will be votes for the AP lol i had both at one point and still have my 26315 panda. AP watches are harder to come by, and if you are lucky to grab this one at retail do it... before it doubles/triples retail like a ss daytona does lol

Yea this purchase will be retail. Already spent too much for the 15450 in grey market so don’t intend on ever doing that again. I saw the 26315 by accident at the grey dealer when I went to pick up my 15450 and fell in love.

Curious though, is it harder to get on a waitlist for the 15450 then the 26315 panda?

Without a doubt the AP is the one to go with, can't compare haute horologie to a mass produced watch i.e. Rolex. You won't regret it.

Daytona panda or 26315ST white dial

Own both, love both, at msrp I pick the Daytona, grey prices I pick the AP. Beware that the AP is much more delicate watch than the Daytona which is built like a tank. Also in my case the Daytona is more wearable due to its size (depending on wrist size), the 41 AP wear so large in my opinion

Crooked, asymmetrical date wheel kills that AP dial for me. So I vote Daytona, current or older models. (Prefer the black dial.)

That AP, as beautiful as it is otherwise, also wears small, IMHO, which is odd because APs in general often wear big and I usually like smaller watches. Something about the design/proportions didn't work for my 6.75-inch wrist. I've tried it on twice, and passed at a chance to buy it at retail. Subjective, of course.

I am SO OCD about watches (fit, size, bracelet, movement, accuracy etc etc)... but the date window has never bothered me (thankfully!)

Better for me if it wears small since my wrists and very small but flat. Maybe under 6. I get how you feel about the date Window though. Only noticed that now and yea very strange why they did that.

At MSRP the Daytona is a great deal. However the OP is asking about a SS Daytona for 30k vs ROC 26315. At that price 26315 every day.

Funny enough the date window has never bothered me either but the lack of hacking seconds drives me nuts. I like to set my watches to the exact second. Still, 26315 > Daytona for me.

Correct for 30k there’s no comparison, AP all day
