Yet another discount question
There have been a few threads recently asking about discounts at ADs. My question is: what kind of discount can one expect from a gray dealer like Alan Furman or swissluxury.com? Those gray dealers list there prices (already significantly discounted) - can one expect to get steeper discounts from them than their list prices? Alan Furman has a brick and mortar store - can one go in there and get a discount on their listed prices? They list an Explorer (the watch I'm in the market for) at $4295 (down from $5050) - can one expect to go in there and get a bigger discount? What about swissluxury.com - can you call them up and negotiate a steeper discount than they already list on their website? Would the difficult economic times make it easier to get steeper discounts from these gray dealers?

Swiss Luxury has a note on their FAQ page about accepting reasonable offers - but I think their prices are pretty rock bottom, especially the wire prices.
