GMT Dial for review..

Think this is some variation of a MKV but, it isnt a 5, 5a or 5c.

So, what do I have here?

Looks like a mark VI but I would wait for confirmation from the experts.

Really? I dont think I have ever seen one. I was always under the impression that mark 5's went all the way up to 5.99m and the 1675's ended at that point so, I am wondering where a MK6 would fall in line with production. Maybe overlapping?

Thank You Tom for responding. Looks like this one isnt so easy...

Can you post a picture of the back of the dial?

I can do so shortly, but I can tell you it has no Beyeler markings and is smooth. I will get you a photo shortly.

Thank you TTG

Interesting.. I didnt check the feet position. There is A "B" indicating a Beyeler dial so, maybe this may help..

Yes, 1675 Mk-6.

Dial is latest variation which if you had a 16750 dial, would look very similar, so you would have to verify with the feet position.

Doesn't the B on the back of the dial mean it's a Beyeler dial?

Thank you. I do have a few questions...

For a dial that is claimed to be most prevalent, I have never seen one before. Lots of MK5 variations, but never a MK6.

Second question..

Did all of the MK5's and now the MK6's get installed on watches in the 5 million range? There doesnt seem to be a range for 5, or 5a or 5c or 6..it seems they can be found all over the place from early 5m to very late 5m.

Is that the case?

Thanks TTG

Since it is one of the last versions of the model, you will see it across the entire production years of the model because it was/can be used as a replacement/service dial on earlier watches.

I would say from the mid to the high 5 mil series is acceptable but remember with Rolex anything is possible..

At the end of the day, it is a tritium matte dial, not like the later luminova type service dials, thus more desirable..
