1803 Day/Date Setting
Is there any way to advance the day without advancing the date?

That's what I thought however the date is a day ahead of what it should be which means a full 30 day adjustment. I just thought I'd throw it out there, just in case. Thanks!!!

That's the joy of the 1803. Use your 10 minutes of crown turning as a rare opportunity for some contemplation on life :-) Then enjoy that killer gold on your wrist.

You could also let the watch die down and wait a day and start again...

You can do it by going backwards. Turn the hands backwards as described above. Every other time you pass 12 the day will move backward but the date will not change. When at the correct day, set the time. I've done this on occasion with no problems.

I would dbl check if turning back is okay on this model...... I have seen on other threads that say this may not a good practice, only turn clock-wise. I'm sure others who are actual experts will chime in........ no one wants an unnecc visit to the RSC

That does make the day and date agree however. That was my first thought. |

Should have read "That doesn't make the day and date agree however. That was my first thought."

OK moving the hands backwards doesn't move the date backwards. Only way to set was to advance the date. All done.
