Seamaster 300M In Ceramic and Titanium
New ceramic addition to the Seamaster family.
Excerpt below from this article: https://www.fratellowatches.com/seam...amic-titanium/ “....today Omega surprised us with a model made of one black ceramic and titanium. With a size larger than the regular model (41mm), this 43.5mm is bigger and bolder! The case is made of black ceramic while the diving bezel is made of grade 5 titanium (with a black ceramic ring). The scale of the black ceramic bezel is made of white enamel. Besides the bezel, the caseback of this watch is also made of titanium. Inside, we find the Omega caliber 8806 movement, which has a Master Chronometer certification. Also, it is visible through the sapphire crystal in the titanium caseback. The wave-edged caseback has a NAIAD lock system, meaning that it is always perfectly aligned. The wave-pattern dial returned in 2018 and we’re happy it is also on this 2019 model in 43.5mm. The black ceramic dial has the laser-engraved waves, but are raised from the surface. These relief waves look amazing and similar to those on the limited edition in titanium/tantalum and Sedna gold. This new Seamaster Diver 300M in black ceramic and titanium comes with a rubber strap and a buckle in black ceramic. Price will be CHF7500 (excl VAT). The reference for this new Seamaster Diver 300M is 210.92.44.20.01.001.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That's killer. I'm not sure I'll ever have a black ceramic watch in my collection, but I'll bet this thing is a knockout in person. Looking forward to seeing it.

I saw this in the steel at the last Omega event I went to.
They would not allow pictures as it was not "out of the bag" yet. I can tell you from experience, it is amazing. It is just a bit bigger then the latest version though. as much as i like it, I would still stick with the latest basel release.

Why in earth a ceramic case... this would of been almost perfect if they made the case in titanium!

Assuming the goal was a black case, would you take DLC titanium over ceramic? |

This is interesting. I wonder if it is the same thickness. I loved the Planet Oceans in the Ceramic but it was just way too thick.

It's much more scratch resistant than steel or titanium and it's light.

Wow! Looks impressive in the press photographs. Thanks for posting OP.
The 2018 Seamaster Pro 300M has been getting a lot of love recently on the Omega sub-forum and this all ceramic and titanium, blacked out model may have tipped me over the edge for one. Only issue will be the increased case size, which is a little too large for me. |

It isn't something I'm likely to buy, but it's still damn sexy. I'd love to see it on a NATO.
Whether it's a hit or miss remains to be seen. But I love Omega's willingness to try bold statements like this. |

but I look at my watch right now, and no matter which angle i see more of a side bezel than lugs... and this model have titanium sides of the bezel... so if they wanted full black look this is the part they need to make of black ceramic instead of titanium... |

I think though that the picture is a good representation. Sorry I am not more helpful.

Really? More change, for the sake of change. There is already an excellent case to work with. And the LE, which I haven't yet seen, is a no-date as well. Maybe do the 42mm in an all titanium case or, for those who are so keen on ceramic, an all ceramic case. Then there could be a metal bracelet option as well. I don't know the lug size on this new one, but I would imagine it is a bit larger than the 42mm. And now the movement also looks more lost on the larger case back.
Sorry to be so negative, but I am really not understanding the whole point of this model. If they want to do a bigger size, why not 45mm instead of 43.5?

I like it. Too bad it will be too big for me. 42 is my absolute limit.

Wow! Love this one. Would have preferred it in 42 like the steel pieces, but it's awesome nonetheless. Any word on thickness?!
I was looking at the 39.5mm PO in ceramic, but this just gave me pause. Pic attached for comparison. Would like to know if the dial on the sm300 is matte as well. |

The steel case dial is gloss with the wave pattern etched in a matte finish below the dial surface, while the titanium/ceramic case dial is matte with a raised (above the dial surface) wave pattern in gloss. Looking forward to seeing this watch, but wish it was 42 mm like the rest of the series.

I really, really don't understand why they didn't keep it 42mm. The fact that this is a different case size just confuses an already dizzying array of omega dive watches. Also, surely redesigning the case size was more difficult than just keeping it 42mm? I would love to know their thought process behind this.

Most of the IWC and speedy dark side ceramic editions are larger than the steel versions. I suspect the ceramic material needs to have a slightly thicker cross section than steel case. |

Omega = bigger and bigger and bigger. In 10 years Omega will have 50mm watches.
In the meantime everything that has my attention is smaller and smaller. Who knew Flava Flav had such foresight. I was still digesting the new 42mm Seamaster and finally was coming to terms with it, when I read 43mm...I immediately lost all interest. |

I like the watch but not the price. This will be a watch I will consider pre-owned at 50% off.
