I often wondered that myself. Maybe the technology to make small ceramic cases just isn't there yet.

I really, really don't understand why they didn't keep it 42mm. The fact that this is a different case size just confuses an already dizzying array of omega dive watches. Also, surely redesigning the case size was more difficult than just keeping it 42mm? I would love to know their thought process behind this.
I have to agree, no reason at all for not keeping it the same size as the steel line. They make the ceramic PO in 39.5mm, so it can't have anything to do with it being ceramic, like suggested above.

This 1.5mm doesn't sound like a whole lot, but it sure makes a difference on how the watch wears. Will have to wait until I can try it on to form an opinion.
