16233 serial number
GM! I am looking at purchasing a pre owned 16233 Datejust from a private seller. Watch looks to be in great condition. No papers but the seller sent me a copy of the appraisal.
QUESTION: As far as I have ever known, the 16233 serial number ALWAYS starts with a letter.... this one, however, does not. Am I wrong in thinking that? This is a later model 16233 (no holes). Please see below. Is this legit? |

From the latter part of 2010 random 8 digit serials started now they can start with a number or letter, but looks like they have made a mistake in writing the serial.

Right, but Rolex ceased production of the 16233 in 2004.

I received a picture from the seller. Serial number starts with a "T" - I think we are good to go!
