Icon14 1080.... special Paneristi SE.... wow

Uhhhh, perfection??

Well, other than it being limited to just 60 pieces, it’s perfect. ;-)

372 case, satinated, polished bezel, dark brown dial, golden hands, SE case back, nice straps.

Well done to all involved!!

It’s a beautiful PAM for sure and congrats to all involved in making this happen and to the 60 who have secured one.

It’s issuance begs a few questions.

Is the crystal domed sapphire (e.g., 127) or raised off the bezel (e.g., 422 or 372 S series)? The picture seems to suggest domed sapphire, but those who were at the GTG are stating raised sapphire like the 372. In typical Panerai fashion, we may not know until the PAMs re already released. The 932 and it’s silver hands comes to mind here.

And even more interesting for me—given the strength and loyalty of that local Risti community, was this release at least partially motivated by reparations made to a group who were original Bronzo owners, and promised that the PAM 382 would be the one and only bronzo?

My guess is that a close variation of this model will eventually be released on a much broader scale (either a 1000 piece SE or a regular production run like the 372/422). There will be a different caseback (obviously), and maybe different hands and/or a different crystal.

Interesting to see how this develops?

That’s looks beautiful Cru!

It’s really difficult to tell from the pictures, but are you saying that the case is stain finish and the bezel is polished?

Seems like 372 crystal based on FB comments, but we shall see.

That’s what I understand: satin case, polished bezel.

A great looking watch and another LE piece from Panerai that will further alienate the customer base who can not get one. No despair though, as soon as the Grey Dealers profit enough from it, Panerai will introduce a standard production model. Then the prices of the LE will fall through the floor and the owners will lose money and most of the buyers will have lost interest. A very familiar practice by Panerai and why the brand is on the down slide, again. Try to sell one in the current market and get your feelings hurt. Most of my friends that were big collectors of Panerai have gotten out or reduced their collection to just a few pieces. No thanks.

I don’t think so. This watch is being made for a passionate group of Paneristi who, I think, will always be happy with their project whatever the value.

I’m sorry that you and/or your friends seemed to have lost money flipping Panerais, but some still just like the watches.

I doubt I'll ever get to see one based on the limited production ... perhaps an incoming here...

Not sure if it’s an “LE game”.... Panerai is making 60 watches for a club of enthusiasts. I think it’s totally normal to not expect to get one, as I’m not a member.

Hi Cru,

I understand your point, and it'd be a valid one, if this LE was an isolated case with PAM. Unfortunately, it's quite the opposite, and many of their best releases over the years have been LEs which demand potential owners to jump through all sorts of hoops to get them. Bronzos come to mind.

Doesn't change the fact that it's a great looking piece, though. I'm sure those lucky few dozen guys and gals will be very happy.

It’s nice. But doesn’t do much for me.

I thought lumina with sec hand was “Luminor marina” no?
Still learning about Pam

And wasn’t pam911 the “last one for paneristi”? Lol
(Yeah I know, that was last one by AB for Paneristi...)
It seems like every ref is now a limited series. Lol

Seriously tho, only 100m WR?

There are only several models with luminor panerai and small subsecond dial,I can only think of 127,203,368 and 375 and all are LE and AFAIK all only have 100m WR,those with 127 and 203 please CMIIW

classic panerai color scheme... tobacco dial, gold hand, green lume... but instead of polished bezel and brushed Titanium case... this I presume is with Stainless..is the 203 the only other piece with this color combo? No doubt I much prefer the 203 8 days and Angelus movement and 8 Giorni insignia; but different price point. Bravo!...

Yes,203 is pretty close to this as I had a chance to wear it for a day back in 2012

SS case, domed sapphire, gold hands,brown-ish dial,I forgot about the lume though...i think the movement is thinner than regular P2002/300x
