FPJ CB for DD40

Would you trade a FPJ CB for a DD40 white gold or am I crazy to part with it given how hard it is to get these days and prices continue to go up. Got a decent deal on it and actually managed to package into a white Daytona at retail so overall a great trade. Welcome TRF thoughts. Thanks! Oh and other trade ideas welcome :)

Current watch collection:
Daytona ceramic white
Patek 5167
BLRO with jubilee
FPJ CB
SLA017
SBGE245
SBGA387
Tudor sub (1998)

Thanks for feedback. I tend to agree given how hard that watch is to get these days and probably expect it to remain in high demand with very limited production. Maybe it’s just a straight add down the road since I don’t have a PM piece.

I would dump the CB - you asking us means you are already bored of it

The CB is basically the most beautiful modern watch in the world, so keep it. Just in my humble opinion of course

I'd jump on that trade. The CB is nice but too dressy for my lifestyle.

I'm not a huge fan of the CB, prefer other Journes, but I understand it will be very hard to replace so think hard on it. What sort of premium have you been quoted?

The CB is a dress watch, manual wind, not waterproof, no lume.
Pretty hard to get, and quite rare in the market and one of the nicest watch you can find.

The DD40 is... well a DD40.

I would keep the CB, but ultimately the decision is your.
Which one you prefer ?

No way I would do that trade. CB is unique and will be hard to add back... would add the DD later

I would trade it for the DD40 all day long. The DD40 is a robust watch that can be worn everyday and is on a bracelet. The same market that is pushing prices up could just as easily push them down. Inquire on the cost of a service and how long it takes. The cost of a new OEM strap and it goes on and on. It is also a hard sell as most of us appreciate it, I do not want to own it. I also did not hear you say how much you loved it and enjoyed wearing it. You know the answer, that is why you are asking. It comes down to what would you wear more and enjoy more. Good luck.

Given your collection, I'd rather trade the BLRO and a GS for it.

That's a tough one. FPJ is hard to resist and eclipses / is far better than a Patek for sure.

I'd keep the CB. If you want the DD I'd get rid of the 5167. Probably in the minority here but had one for a few month and just didn't do it for me.

I would not sell or trade a FPJ, but that's just me I guess. You can always find a DD.
