I was about 49. A late developer, I'd had lots of high end watches but had not settled on Rolex until I saw a TT sub in the flesh and I just had to have it.

Did you wear your rolex ???

I was 31,no money before the age of 30..University years and then specialized....GMT II,ss,red/black.Wore it for 5 years...Fond memories
Now ,recently bought a Blue TT Sub,my second Rolex.

The longer you have to save and wait ... the more you will appreciate it ~ Just the way life works.I believe you have to yearn for the first one and you have to buy it yourself ... Only then will it have that special meaning. For years I looked at the watches in the ADs windows ....when you finally buy one ,it is special.

When you said "Zagreb", I remembered a scene from the 007 film - From Russia With Love - when the train pulls up outside the same station.

Moments later is the great fight sequence between Bond and the villain!! What a great film that was!! One of the best....ever!!

I saw that film in 1964....probably before you were born!! If you get a chance to rent the DVD...go ahead...you won't regret it!!

Well, the Americans and Canadians would be in slumberland now....still trying to digest all that rich food they've hogged today!!

The Aussies are like 2~3 hours behind my time (which is currently 8:21 pm Tuesday evening!).

In Europe it must be morning, but most of them would be out with their families as it is Boxing Day.

So that leaves just us TWO tossers - Junior and Senior!!

Looks like we are the only two active members right now. But I have to leave you as there is a good film right now on TV - The Shawhsank Redemption - which will start any second now.

Bye, nice chatting with you, Davor.
