Datejust on a leather strap

Hello everyone. Many years ago, I was given this Datejust by my father. It has been my daily watch for about the last 10 years. I wanted to switch it up a bit, so I replaced the metal band with a leather strap. Also, being a leather worker, it felt odd that I didn't personally use a leather strap haha. I opted for a fairly thick (3.5mm) strap, and I am pretty pleased with it. It obviously has a more casual look now, but I am really enjoying switching it up. I don't see leather straps on Datejusts too often.

That is a great look. I too wear a TT DJ everyday. In the winter / cooler months I wear it on a Black Alligator strap. In the summer / hotter months I have several NATO straps that I swap out depending on the look I want.

I love the classic look of a Vintage DJ on a strap!

Enjoy your new look!

Looks great! I just ordered a lizard strap for my TT DJ w/champagne dial. I love the vintage look.

Also handed down to me from my dad. He wore it everyday for 25 years. My son will be getting this watch when he graduates high school.

Just got this back from a service.

I actually think this one looks as good on leather as a bracelet.

I think DJs look classy on a nice leather.
Wore mine a lot on a croco, and even a nato when I had it.

What’s the dial color on this? Looks very cool. Almost like a silver parchment for a lack of better term.

It’s called a linen dial. Silver parchment is a good way to describe it. Ya really smart looking. Black on the markers and black hands.

The two tone DJ on a brown leather strap has always been one of my favorites.
