I've always loved the Rolex ads in the past, but the Patek tagline was the one that made me say wow.

While I've owned a Rolex since 2010, the first time I heard the "It doesn't just tell time, it tells history" slogan wasn't until this year's Oscars. Now, I can't get enough of Rolex's ads. I think it's right up there with Patek's.

This is an awesome thread! Thanks to the OP and other posters. I remember waiting at my piano teacher's house for my lesson as a kid and flicking through her National Geographic magazines and seeing the Rolex advertisements. Now that I'm a WIS, these advertisements bring back great memories and nostalgia

I greatly enjoy reading the old adventure- and exploration-themed ads

All these ads make me feel unworthy of my Rolexes.

The only changes I made is enriching Rolex :(

This is one of the best threads I've come across in TRF. Definitely in the Top 3! Thanks OP!

Not only that Adam, but mentions the Datejust with a pic of a Sub LV.

Yes! I saw this and cringed as well. Epic ad agency fail. Hopefully there were some firings.

Hi all,

I’ve been searching for hi resolution versions of some of these ads. Is anyone aware of any that would be large enough to print off at around A4 to A3 size?

If it helps I’m specifically after the Explorer Matterhorn and Submariner “If you shipped out on the Skate, Shark or Nautilus...” ads.

Cheers!
