FS: 1968 Tudor Rolex Submariner 7021/0 Blue Snowflake Ghost Insert
For sale is an amazing example of a Tudor 7021/0 Blue Snowflake Submariner from 1968. The bezel insert has faded to a beautiful ghost blue grey.
The movement received a complete service in December 2017 using genuine parts from an authorized Rolex account. The sale is for the watch head on a Brown Bulang & Sons vintage-style strap. Caseback is stamped Montres Tudor S.A. Geneva-Switzerland Patented Stainless Steel IV 68. The case back appears to have some additional service markings. The stainless steel case shows wear and has loads of character, but is still thick and houses the appropriate ETA caliber 2484. Serial and reference number 7021/0 is heavily faded, but can be seen with a loupe and a steady hand. Dial is meters first and has small chip near the 2:00. The date wheel has been replaced (it should be roulette). Overall, this is an amazing looking early Tudor Snowflake that is ready to wear. The watch was purchased from a dealer in Florida that said it was from the original owner, but I have no proof or documentation. I acquired it from the purchaser, serviced it, and replaced the generic crystal with a vintage, authentic tropic 19 Dome. Please let me know what questions you have.
