No, perhaps not. Usually that would be true if speaking of an historical figure who is long dead, but we may need to make exception here. It's been a fair few years since I've seen the insides of any Church of England chapel but they do tell me JC has not stayed dead. Ergo present tense is permitted, to suit Common belief.

(and yes, that's a snide knock against current "common era" PC rubbish)

But for the cost of any genuine Rolex, it would not be kosher without SWISS on the dial IMHO!

If you are asking for authentication, then you will have to wait until you have 10 posts and then post pictures of the watch and the dial.

The correct response.

The dial is the face of the watch.....what you seem to be calling the clock.

SWISS only dial ran from 98 to 2000 so they are 'pre engraved rehaut'. However service dials are SWISS only and can be put into models with the engraved rehaut. Rare that a Super lume watch would need a service dial but there you go.
A lot concluding the watch is fake because the dial is unmarked but fakes generally have the SWISS MADE. Even the really shoddy ones. I'm going aftermarket dial in this case but without a pic we'll never know.
