Hmmm don’t agree with this anyway. To the op as not to get side tracked. Aftermarket bezel are cast not hewn from a solid find ingot, they are weaker and the tolerances are not as precise which can effect the waterproofness of your watch. Go original is my advice

As is, your watch retains its masculine appearance and the diamond markers highlight the black dial.

Adding a diamond encrusted bezel might make it look a bit effeminate or perhaps a tad gaudy.

Why do diamonds make something effeminate? I don’t get this insinuation at all. Every time someone wants to add some bling, somebody has to insinuate their choice lacks masculinity.

Can’t we give advice without trashing the guy’s notion of beauty. He didn’t ask for an opinion on whether diamonds are cool on a watch, he asked for an opinion on the size of diamonds that would look best.

OP: I’d go for a factory bezel if I could find one. Better build quality and symmetry are worth any savings you might get from aftermarket.

I actually think it’s cultural. In some countries/cultures a display of diamonds, gold, and other jewelry (in general, not specific to a Rolex) by men, is more acceptable than in other countries/cultures.

I am pretty embarrassed by some people on this thread. How judgmental and classless. I can appreciate the OP's tastes. Guess what, if you dont appreciate...move along. Just dont say anything. I practice this almost daily, I think the band wagon never ending parade of green subs is BORING!, do I make broad sweeping negative comments? No, I just move along. Class folks has nothing to do with diamonds or no diamonds, or money, or status. Class is how you treat other people.

Nor does a platinum Daytona in any way shape or form raise its owner to a higher class

Guess I am low class:

This and the fact that I don't have 7 figures in assets, nor a German car to show off.

I had just been thinking yesterday how civil it seems here. Hmmm. Ironically, this seems a bit of a classless comment. Maybe I missed something.

Soapbox for a moment. This may be hard for some folks to believe but there are some Rolex fans out there who love a diamond DJ and wouldnt spend ten bucks on a green sub.

To the OP, I like diamonds but I HATE aftermarket ANYTHING on a Rolex.
I agree. I wouldn't put aftermarket anything on a Rolex. It just reduces the value of the watch. If you want a Rolex with a real diamond bezel then I would buy a watch that was made that way by Rolex.

My wife has a two tone DJ31 with diamond bezel and number markers. It was EXPENSIVE but she loves it so we're happy with the purchase. We purchased it new from a Rolex boutique.

My grail watch is a yellow gold Day Date 40 with diamond baguette number markers. That is really about as much diamond as I personally could stand on a men's watch.

4 cent would be a sweet spot for your 36mm TT dateJust......

You don't want it to look overwhelmed....

Concurring with Abdullah here. The diamond markers are both tasteful and attractive. On the other hand, the choice of additional diamonds (e.g. bezel, bracelet etc.) is strictly up to the wearer and their own personal sense of style. While I would never consider the option, to each his/her own. It's their watch and money spent.

Hey sorry to bug you guys with these questions but if someone could please enlighten me on if I put the after-market bezel, does it void the Rolex warranty?

Very well said, agree on all and it seems like we have somewhat similar taste too.

In my daughter's piano school, the wife of the owner which I sometimes chat with while waiting for my daughter, has a 31mm datejust that she bought and put aftermarket bezel on it, cost of bezel and labor was about $1500 I was told, which was way less than the $5k-$6k that Rolex charges for that upgrade.

While still beautiful, that bezel is no where near the original bezel from Rolex.

My wife's 31mm SS with black diamond dial and diamond bezel cost a hefty price for what it is (just over $6k for diamond bezel alone), but is it ever worth it. I find that size/combo (SS or TT) to be the most elegant ladies watch in Rolex line up.

Below shows the price difference for a diamond dial on a 31mm Datejust.

Mods, can we get this imposter tossed off? No wonder his watch picture didn't even show his steering wheel.

I have never really fallen in love with diamonds on watches and appreciate the pure aesthetics of a "plain" factory Rolex. That being said, nobody has to approve of my tastes or yours. Do what makes you happy and wear it in great health!!
