Clearly his "big watch" fixation is to compensate for other serious short-comings...

I don't even get what he was talking about... Nor why he had so many posts on a rolex forum, when he didn't care for them. Sayonara tool

As inappropriate as that guy's comments were, I cannot justify the kind of response Rockrolex presented. Especially being a mod, you can't let them drag you down to their level.

Unique watches with great manufacturers and pedigrees, they aren't the same watch so it's totally acceptable to own both, as many here do...
Well said. I love them both!

You are quite right. Sorry for my earlier statement.
Today I parted with a not inconsiderable pile of cash. But boy was it worth it!.
I found a lovely vintage 16800 from 1985, recently overhauled but only the movement. The dial is still original and has a great patine.

Sorry for low quality iphone picture....

I own both the PO and the Sub.

I love both, but for different reasons.

Both are beautiful pieces in their own right.

But the PO, will never EVER, be the Sub.

Nor will it replace the Sub or take the place of the Sub.
