The Walking Dead

Anyone here watch the show? I just saw the midseason finale online as I had missed it on Sunday. Best episode so far in my opinion. Great show!

Final season episode was excellent. Notice that no one is wearing a Rolex.

It's an amazing show - great production value and wonderful acting. While gory and violent, it's a show about the breakdown of society and dealing with what people are capable of doing when pushed to the brink.

By the way, it's just the mid-season finale. It will be back on Feb. 12th!

Yes! I completely agree. When I watch the show it takes my mind off of the things I have to do in my own busy life, and enter a realm of imagination that we see these people having to fend for a complete different world than we do.

The seventh episode is the last episode until February 12th. They will then show episodes 8-13.

Great TV... the wife likes it even more than me as well! Also can't miss Bordwalk Empire every week and looking forward to Game of Thrones coming back on.

It's a great series, and I love that it's filmed in and around Atlanta, which I now call Zombietown. I really like the range of personalities in the characters.

Am I the only one here who thinks that it's a show that had tremendous potential but the lack of realism is frustrating? So we're eight or nine years into the end of civilization and the gasoline in the cars fires right up and the sides of the perfectly groomed roads aren't overgrown weed jungles for some reason? They seem to concentrate nearly exclusively on fighting zombies and/or the living badguys of the moment, but gloss over any lack of doctors, medicine, food, ammunition, clean water, etc. etc. Not only that but the writing seems to be getting really sloppy with the characters not behaving how real people would in a lot of situations.

I watched seasons one through three religiously, then slowly began to lose ever more interest until I now have stopped following the show completely. The last one I saw had Neegan up on a balcony giving a threatening speech while every single member of Rick's party had a gun trained on him from about 100 feet....and nobody thought to simply shoot him? Then Neegan goes inside to safety and they all at once unload into all the windows of the building, wasting thousands of rounds of the single most valuable commodity on earth. And the cartoonish silliness only continued from there. Yup, I'm pretty much done with it.

I stopped watching after a couple seasons ago when Negan killed off two main characters. I just felt the series was going downhill from there. I actually have been watching Fear the Walking Dead and think that series has been better. I guess Morgan, a main character on Walking Dead, will be crossing over as a character on Fear the Walking Dead this year.

I'll have to check out the mid-season. I have really lost interest after the first episode this season. I feel like it just needs to end.

Never, somehow I find the whole concept of a show like this frigging stupid and idiotic.

I kind of agree with you. They have to keep writing more and more violence and strange zombie kills into the show and it just seems gratuitous at this point.

I like where Fear went in season two with the boat. Wish they would have explored that a little more.

It trailed off for me. A few years ago, I would have been glued to it. But now, my wife has to beg me to watch it with her. To me, it lost something. It was no longer a fight against the undead, but a fight between factions. When it went from SciFi to a boardgame like interpretation of RISK, I was out.
