A local collector has a piece unique 5270G black dial that looks very nice. Another collector I know has a 5196G grey dial with breguettes. I like Breguette on unique pieces; patek has been doing that for a long time for the uniques, it's just that it became a bit common now..... but so did blue dials, etc.

Thomas: Do you have a photo of 5270G black dial? It will be fun to view it. It is my home work. I have to find a answer before I try to order it.

Maybe 5271, but no diamond on lug and put Roman Number on the dial.

My AD said "As an AD, we will only submit requests for our very best customers as Patek Philippe will not be happy with us if we put in a lot of requests for many people. This is because all requests are presented to Mr Stern for his consideration and authorization to make special piece."

I am going to send my application to try it when I decide my dream dial.

The number was a 100 and I figured they had plenty of the WG models sitting in the window. They can take back the watches, credit the ADs, and change the dial

Oh dear...I think details of the NY LE's has now been leaked!!! They used some old movements kyung in the drawer for London so now a way to use all those 5170 cases!!

Back when the 3970 and 5004 were being produced, there were people who commissioned a 5004 dial on a 3970.

However if you are ordering a unique dial/piece, I would try to personalize the dial with a color/feature that you really like, so you can keep it as a family heirloom piece to be passed down in your family.

How about an enamel dial? I know Patek usually makes black or white enamel dials. But a blue enamel dial like the one on a 5539G (photo attached) in a 5270 with a platinum case would be quite a watch

Does blue enamel dial looks very different from regulat blue dial?

5004 dial on 3970 looks fabulus.
