Ok, I know it is a old thread but one of most informative for all who are torn between PP and AP.
Hence my idea of resurrection.

I apologise everyone who things differently.

Thanks Lapince, it's really grown on me since I noticed a very good client of mine wearing one, when I commented on it he handed it to me and when I felt the weight and he just casually told me that it was a 5711p. That was a year ago and since then its really caught my attention.

Of course the 5711p is the most incredible one, especially the non anniversary edition, but the SS is still an incredible watch and it's amazing that with the RO they both were designed in the 70's and are still selling strong, ok maybe not to your average Joe but both have huge followings from WIS and for good reason

This is a great thread. I am toying of buying either a 5711 or 15202. I have 6" wrists. Here is a wrist shot. Thoughts?

With 6 in. wrist, the 5711 will fit you better. The 15202 bracelet will flare out at the lugs.

Thanks. I am fortunate to be close to both PP and AP dealers. I will try both on. For some reason, the wife does not like the Nautilus: she thinks it looks too 70's.

RO was designed as a fashion forward watch, that was it's raison d'être. It was built to be groovy, for the young wealthy elite, man of the world and so on... and the fact that it is still considered to be, at least by some, 45 years later is fairly extraordinary.

Thanks for sharing. I can't argue with any of your points.
