21k Rotor
Hi everyone,
Is there a specific reason on why Patek uses 21k gold to build their rotors? Thanks! |

In my brief knowledge I think it is on the micro/ smaller rotor where the heavier 21k gold comes into its own. The micro rotor is smaller to allow it to ride alongside, rather then on top of the movement. So the heavier the better to allow it to turn with less movement. Hope that makes sense.
