Patek 570 Questions

Like many, I love this watch. But I'm having a hard time finding information about the different versions of this reference.

What's more valuable? The small seconds version or the sweeping seconds version?

I also regularly see two versions of the small seconds version. Is one more desired than the other?

Please feel free to include information not pertaining to these questions.

I'm curious about this watch and would love to learn more.

Thanks in advance!!

When it comes to sweep vs sub seconds, I believe it is personal choice and you need to buy what you like, however, the sweep does bring a premium. Also the metal. Yellow being the most common, rose/pink brings a premium followed by white then platinum and finally steel. Dial configuration will add to the price as well.

Nice choice. In short it comes down to rarity of the case and/or dial and (not) reconditioned/condition for value.

reconditioning or restoration is truly a matter of choice. I have several vintage pieces that have been restored by Patek. Watches that have been abused in their earlier life are painstakingly brought back to life! It is truly amazing what PP is able to do. Other vintage pieces I have have a nice warm feel and all original.

I think this book has a section on the Ref. 570, the various models and which is considered more desirable.
