Maybe the colors are the reason "every AD probably has one"

I'm curious as to why you thought creating this thread was a good idea..

What were you hoping to achieve?

its probably because its WG. Same issue with the sky dweller and thats why the WG is gone. The colors are softer and not aggressive like the bright red and blue aluminum pepsi bezels so its different absolutely.

Its not supposed to appeal to everyone thats what the sub is for. They make AK and YMII and models on OF too and not everyone is on board with them either. Thats OK, but its not wrong

Until I see it in the metal I have no comment on the colors. If you don't like it, don't buy it! :)

Ditto

The 5digit Pepsi color was great...for 1980’s
Hence, it looks great as a vintage watch.

For the new ceramic age, the current “Pepsi” color is more modern and appropriate, imo.

As far as I know Rolex has never coined this watch the "Pepsi". That was done by WIS and watch forums. And they may not be able to get a true red and blue like the aluminum bezel inserts. And most colored ceramic inserts regardless of color tend to change hue with differing sources of light and viewing angles.

In the US, a raspberry is otherwise known as a Bronx cheer.

Thanks a lot for the review. Very perceptive and insightful with sharp and profound analyses of the Rolex color schemes. Too bad for Rolex you decided to dump the watch. A stomach punch to the brand.

I’m sure Rolex will be devastated - they relied on you to purchase one

I, for one, have seen several BLRO at ADs and I like the colors. I will definitely be getting the new SS Pepsi.

They have the most to gain from bashing Rolex bi-color ceramic bezels on GMT watches

Otherwise, this bezel color conversation is getting a bit stale in general. People either buy them or don't but enough complaining.

there is a weird expectation that Rolex must make a watch everyone likes. Its a really odd expectation actually.

This year is worse because its really the only major release. Last year we had 3 SS sky dwellers, 3 OF Daytonas, DJ 41's, and a new sea dweller. This is the only game in town this year so the complaints are higher.

Too late! I loathe the nicknames for the most part but if we’re going to have Pepsi aceepted everywhere then the ceramic has to be the Raging Razberry.
