Day-Date on the Oyster bracelet? What are your thoughts?

As great as the Oyster is, would many people pass on the exclusivity of the President?

I'd prefer the durability of the Oyster. I guess the new Presidents have the ceramic sleeves and should wear better. I've seen so many really stretched out Presidents, fwiw. I also like the better adjustability of the Oysters.

If i'd get a DD, i would opt for the President bracelet as it is a great looking and kind think of any reason to pass on it.

Although I am a huge fan of the oyster, I think the DD just needs to be on the president.

What separates the day date the most from anything else, is the president bracelet. To me, an oysterband on a daydate is just a datejust with a day function, especially on a WG.

My thought is no.

There's already the DJ if you want an oyster bracelet.

DD needs a President bracelet IMO. They make a 1.25 link if you’re in between sizes.

Love the Oyster on the DD but would never get it. One often overlooked fact is that the design of the President bracelet doesn’t really reveal scratches. With its large swathes of polished gold, you can’t say the same about the Oyster.

I like the DD on oyster with a smooth bezel only. But if I was getting a DD it would probably be on the iconic presidential bracelet.

I test drove a president bracelet once. It was a yellow gold DD with champagne dial and diamond markers. My wrist still misses that feeling.

Normally I'd go for the president, specially when it's your first day-date. However, it can look pretty spectaculair:

Never for me, the president bracelet and Day Date are forever "linked". Pun intended However some people like the option so if that floats your boat go for it!

How understated would a platinum day date with the smooth bezel with a white dial and the oyster option? Very much like a DJ imho, a brave choice but very cool.
I'd go president every time
