Where is the best place to buy Seiko - NOT GS

Hello all. I'm here in the U.S. and am wondering where everyone buys their Seikos.

While I think Grand Seiko is - well - Grand, I'm not really interested in those. I've grown fond of the garden variety Seikos, specifically sport watches and dress watches.

I've purchased from Long Island Watch with very good luck. They usually have a good stock and are great to deal with.

I've seen several members that have purchased from Seiya in Japan. There, it appears you can get JDM Seikos.

I've also had good luck with Timeless Luxury in Frisco, TX. They have told me they are the largest Grand Seiko seller in the U.S. They also have a good Non-Grand selection.

Other than those, are there other places I'm missing? I don't mind buying from overseas as long as the company is legit.

Most interested in the JDM and "Made in Japan" versions.

You hit all the likely suspects, plus Amazon.

Greetings from Tulsa! Curious about your interactions with Timeless Luxury. Have you purchased over the phone, or only in person? There's a GS I'm eyeing and the closest GS dealers are Timeless in Frisco and one in KC.

I’ve bought over the phone and in person. Their new store is worth the drive. It’s beautiful. And I got to try on a Datograph.

Also, there is a lot of preowned. The stuff they have on eBay is just a fraction.

I’m not the OP, but Dan over at timeless Luxury has a great selection and is a great guy to buy from. Truly couldn’t recommend them anymore. And yes they will ship.

Honestly, for basic Seikos like Turtles, Samurais, skx, etc, you can get great deals at a department store like Macy’s. About a year ago I bought a Samurai as a gift from Long Island Watch. The bezel was so tight that it was essentially unusable. I went into Macy’s at lunch, saw the same watch for $100 cheaper, was able to examine the alignment and try the bezel and left a happy camper. I’m still annoyed that I was charged a restocking fee from Long Island for a defective watch.

My AD is a GS/Seiko Dealer and I buy through them but I also cross check items on Ebay and Amazon. The less expensive the item is the more likely I am to consider a purchase from Ebay.

Another recommendation for Macy’s. I bought my PADI turtle there (online), on sale.

I can’t say enough great things about Dan, Anna and the rest of the crew at Timeless. I have been dealing face to face with them for 6 years or so and have bought more watches than I probably should have. Honestly have never had a better buying experience every single time. Buy with confidence.

Well after all this talk I drove down to Frisco to check out Timeless Luxury Watches’ stock. They’re really great. Some pics:

Bought my turtle at Kohl’s. Was on sale plus had coupon. I paid less than 50% of MSRP.
